If the vessel was not registered on the eCMID database when the inspection template was downloaded, it will need to be linked prior to uploading (once the vessel has been added to the database, which may also have required the vessel operator to have registered).
With the inspection data open, navigate to the Upload screen. The first section contains a link “Inspection not linked to a vessel”, which will take you to the selection screen. You will only be able to select the inspection type (eCMID or eMISW) that was downloaded initially and this will need to have been enabled for the vessel by its operator.
Once the link has been completed, the vessel details will be displayed on the Overview screen and you will be able to continue with uploading.
