The following user guide refers to the classic eCMID Inspection Application for Windows, which was withdrawn at the end of 2020, but remains available for completion of existing inspection reports.
The index of certificates is a special section of the inspection report, which does not follow the standard Yes/No/NA/NS plus Comments format.
These details may be pre-entered by the vessel operator (via the eCMID database website – My Organisation > Manage Vessels) and we encourage them to do so, where possible, ahead of an inspection being carried out. The details will generally be easily to hand for the vessel operator and it will save time during the inspection if the data only needs to be verified rather than entered in full.
The vessel operator can also continue to update this information as certification is renewed over the one-year validity of the inspection report.
For each listed certificate, the operator or inspector should indicate if the certificate is applicable to the vessel type and, if so, enter the dates of issue and expiry, or indicate if these are not applicable. A date picker is provided to ensure that data is entered in the correct format.
You can use the ‘Save’ button to save your changes to the data file while you continue working on this section, or ‘Save & Close’ to return to the eCMID application’s main screen.
