The following user guide refers to the classic eCMID Inspection Application for Windows, which was withdrawn at the end of 2020, but remains available for completion of existing inspection reports.
If the vessel was not listed on the eCMID database when the inspection template was downloaded, it will need to be linked prior to uploading (once the vessel has been added to the database, which may also have required the vessel operator to have registered).
With the inspection data open, a ‘Link to vessel’ button will appear in the lower right corner of the main eCMID application screen. Select this option and the ‘Link to vessel’ screen will be displayed, allowing selection of the vessel operator, vessel and client. You will only be able to select the inspection type (eCMID or eMISW) that was downloaded initially and this will need to have been enabled for the vessel by its operator.
Once the link has been completed, the vessel details will be displayed in the main eCMID application screen and you will be able to upload the inspection report.
